Concerning the data collected, it means that it is easier to draw a valid conclusion regarding the manner in which their variable relates to each group. In this way, it was easier to determine or provide the means of testing the validity of the outcome as well as inferring their characteristics just from a small sample of the participants into a larger one (Goodwin & Goodwin, 2017). In so doing, it implies that it was easier to tell how the result of the sample relates to the targeted population of the participants. This was important when it comes to the need for determining whether the results assist in supporting the null hypothesis which is rejected in favour of the alternative explanation (Hanna & Dempster, 2012).
Conversely, there exist various factors to be considered before choosing any statistical test in this case. This is to say that the aim, design, and the level of measurement of this research ought to be identified first. The objective behind this is to make all that is known as well as make inferences or assumptions regarding that which is unknown (Hanna & Dempster, 2012). Therefore, before hypothesized that participants will perceive their cohorts labour to be of superior quality to that of groups from another campus, it is essential to understand that the characteristics of the samples, for instance, the mean and the standard deviation, cannot be regarded as being the primary parameters. The reason for that is because the specimens are used to make generalizations regarding the population. It was essential to ensure that the representative chosen have accurately represented the entire population before making such generalizations (Goodwin & Goodwin, 2017).
Nevertheless, in the process of confirming whether any validity was to be obtained from the results, it becomes easier to examine whether they are statistically significant. The reason for that is because it assists in determining whether that finding was caused by something else other than just a chance. This in return gave the capacity of making inferences or comparisons from the data collected to a more general condition’s (Ian, 2006).
