The Problems of Child Labour
Child labour refers to the employment of the children in any work that deprives children of there childhood, their potential, dignity and that is harmful to physical ,mental and social development. It is a major problem in most of the developing countries and it also damages, spoils and destroys the future of the children. This essay will explain what problems occur because of child labour and finally mentions some possible solutions to stop child labour.
There are a number of problems that are faced by children. Psychological abuse is one of them. Many parents are not able to work and many parents want that children help them to survive in this era. So they send them in factories to work and children are more easily obtained work because they get less money than adults. Employers also think that abusing children is easies than adults so they give work to them. child labour is expected to work long hours it leads physical harm because they can not hold hard work for long hours than others as well as they do not know how to use machines in sweatshops than other people hence it harms them physically. In addition to this children that work in the street are also at risk of physical violence from police officers. They can also sick because of bad weather because they do not have money to buy clothes( Shah, Ghazi & Khan, (2016).
The second problem because of child labour is illiteracy. It increases the rate of illiteracy because parents who send their children to work they do not the know the scope of education for their children’s future and also it increases the chances of poverty. If children do not go to school how they can get enhance their physical social and economic skills. They only want money to survive their daily life( Shah, Ghazi, & Khan, 2016).
To sort out the hinderances that take place to spoil the future of children day by day some possible measures should consider by everyone. Firstly, government should create policies that company should justify all the alternatives to child labour because they have lack of knowledge and also employers force employees to work long hours and minimum wages is provided. With the help of this child labour can know about their rights and no one can use them psychological. Secondly, parents should teach by creating awareness programs by local societies and government about child education because some parents are not educated and they do not know that education can make their children’s future bright as well as it helps their physical, social and economic development (Parker, Law, Ligon, Smyth, Verdery, Summer, & Geer,1908).
In conclusion, it restates that it is the compulsion of parents to send their children on work because they do not have any way to survive in this modern era but government should create strict rules and regulations and provide some free facilities for poor people who send children to work. This can help to solve the problem of child labour in any country.
