How it works
As of 2013, there is an average of 11 million unauthorized immigrants in the United States, 3.9 million of those undocumented are students in grades K through 12th grade in public and private schools throughout the country, so they can make a difference in the United States and in their personal life’s. Many people come to this country for better opportunities and to get away from the danger their homelands had. Immigrants, like those throughout history, are generally hard workers and make contributions to our nations economy.
America is considered of many different ethnic groups; immigrants should be able to enter America with any resistance from border patrols or anyone. Immigrants in America take many things such as low paying jobs, hard labor jobs, that unfortunately some Americans don’t want but still claim that they are taking over American jobs. Are illegal Latino immigrants really taking over American Jobs? If so, why aren’t they the ones doing the hard labor work, why don’t we see them up the ladder picking that orange? That orange that is sent to factory’s, that eventually end up at your local store for you to purchase and enjoy.
Immigrants in the United States, both legal and illegal, have faced attitudes from the American people. Most of us have heard the words from President Donald Trump When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best.”” He added: “”They’re sending people that have a lot of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”” These vicious, and unfair attitudes towards immigrants by people, news, and newspapers are just falsification. The news, newspapers should just show realistic images and information of immigrants instead of falsely attributing of negative impacts towards them. There is no need for them to hide everything immigrants are doing. To clarify my proposition, I will examine the different ways in which immigrants help and enrich the United States.
While the national attention is based on the southern border, they just don’t realize that millions of immigrants are still living in the United States. Immigration has given the United States an economic edge in its economy. Latinos bring ideas to spirit the United States Economy. They have businesses that they provide to other markets, which helps America have the ability to trade and invest in a global economy. Besides that, immigrants also help us keep the economy flexible which helps keep our prices down. In 2015 about 8 million of them were working making up 5 percent of the united state’s workforce. As of May 23, 2018, Daniel Griswold states how America’s historical openness to immigration has enriched its culture, expanded economic opportunity and enhanced its influence in the world. Immigrants enrich our economy and society by paying taxes. Undocumented immigrants pay an average of $11.64 billion a year from state and local taxes. Besides paying taxes we have about 800,000 recipients protected under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). DACA is for people who came to the United States at a young age. 800,000 who pay a fee of $465 for there applications and renewals. DACA began in 2012 ever since the United States Economy has benefited about 433.3 billion goes to the economy. The cost of ending DACA can be down the economy.
Immigrants are taking over American jobs immigrants do not put anyone out of jobs. Immigrants tend to fill the jobs that Americans can not or will not do. Immigrants also go to school so they can have the job they have. As a Latina I am currently a Liberal study major, I and working hard so one day I can become a teacher, I am not stealing no one’s job. I am working hard to obtain my dream job. Daniel Griswold states how Immigrants are disproportionately represented in such high-skilled fields as medicine, physics, and computer science, but also in lower-skilled sectors such as hotels and restaurants, domestic service, construction, and light manufacturing. Latinos also raise demand for goods, just like they supply them. Technology is very popular now and the immigrant has enriched the country by developing new technology such as Java Computer Language, that created employment for millions of Americans.
Illegal Immigrants should be allowed into America. Immigration has always been a problem for the United States. When entering a country illegally it can cost you deportation back to your native country. That is why immigrants should have the right to stay in the United States. Through history immigrants never had the opportunities they deserve. The united states are well known as the land of opportunities, and if they can not be here in the U.S then this country would be trash in general. It would be extremely hard for employers to find replacements that want to have a low paying job. American born Citizens would rather and still be working at McDonald’s for minimum wage rather than working in the excruciating heat for the same amount of pay. If immigrants can’t get a path to citizenship, then the least that could happen is that they should stay here in the united states with their family. The reason for them to stay is so they can have a better future, they also need to stay for a purpose to study.
In conclusion, illegal immigrants should be allowed into America. Through history and even now nothing has changed, it is time for changes to be made to this country to be good. Immigrants come into this country to make changes, and these changes have been proved thought new, articles, and more. This is not fiction like some people make think. These hard-working immigrants are a vital part of the American economy, they contribute exactly and even more money to the government than they receive in benefits, and current immigration policies are discriminatory. It is America’s responsibility to ensure that all people seeking freedom and a better life can have a chance to fulfill their dreams. These are just a few reasons why they should stay, and how they help enrich the economy. We need to all realize as a country that Latinos make a difference and that America grows as a nation with immigrants besides them.
