Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson President Analysis
How it works
Im am writing this paper because I am going to explain the presidency differences and similarities between Jackson’s and Jefferson’s presidency. Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States Of America.
He was born in Virginia. He was also the main author of the Declaration Of Independence.Jefferson and Madison believed that Hamilton’s Financial Plan only benefited the wealthy and the disagreement gave a rise to America’s first political parties.
Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States Of America. He was born in South Carolina. His nickname was Old Hickory. He defeated the British in the battle of New Orleans during the war of 1812. Thomas Jefferson Achieved reducing the size of the army.He also ended naval expansions and lowered government cost.He also extended United States WestWard expansion from the Mississippi River to New Orleans.
Andrew Jackson wasn’t a successful person the only “successful” thing that he did was remover the “savages” (the Native Americans). Then he went against what the Supreme Court ruled and forced the Natives from their home just because he could and because he didn’t like them. Thomas Jefferson struggled with impressment. He struggled with the Louisiana purchase because of the XYZ Affair. He also struggled to show the states that he was on their side and was one of them.
Andrew Jackson struggled with the tariff issues which almost divided the nation. Also he cause the indian removal act.He had to deal with the nullification crisis. The challenges that Jackson and Jefferson faced were similar and different in many ways.Jefferson faced many people problems and Jackson faced more political problems. But Jefferson did face some political problems like the XYZ affair.
In my opinion Thomas Jefferson was the most successful president because he truly was the better president. He was all for making the U.S. better for the people and extending the U.S..as Andrew Jackson focused on more of making things better for the people who voted for him.He removed the indians for his benefit because He thought that they were savages and made the people think that they were savages also.
