Coca Cola had Cocaine in It?

Did you know that the original tonic of Coca Cola had cocaine in it? At the time, they did not know that it was bad so they used it for medicine. I came across this while studying how Coca Cola is made and decided you would think it was interesting. Do you want to know about what is in Coke and how it is made today? Firstly, who invented Coke. The syrup for Coke was created by pharmacist, Dr.

John Stith Pemberton in 1886 in Atlanta Georgia for tonic, but in 1888 prior to his death he sold the formula to Asa G. Candler who made a ton of money. In 1917 Asa gave his children the company, but in 1929 his children sold it, which made him furious.

Secondly, the ingredients in Coke. The ingredients of Coke are not hard to pronounce and there is not too many but they are important to the properties of Coke. Firstly, the ingredients that make up its taste, sugar which sweetens the drink, Phosphoric Acid which makes the drink slightly tart, Caffeine which not only peps you up but is a little bitter, and finally natural flavors a.k.a. the secret formula. Secondly, the ingredient that gives it its looks: caramel coloring; a very specific caramel is made to color Coke. Lastly, the ingredient that make Coke feel good in your mouth: Carbon Dioxide, which makes the soda bubble in your mouth and tickle your tongue.

Lastly, how the ingredients are put together. Firstly, the bottles get cleaned. Secondly, water is added into the bottle. Thirdly, sugar is added. Fourthly, the secret formula is added. Fifthly, caramel coloring is added and the mixed is complete, but you can’t forget the carbon dioxide because who wants a flat Coke? After the soda is complete it is checked by human for quality.

In conclusion, Dr. John Stith Pemberton an Atlantan pharmacist created Coke but right before he died he sold it to Asa G. Candler who later gave it to his children who years after sold it. Coke contains about five ingredients and is made by machine but gets checked by human for quality.
