Before the outbreak the American and british had problems. The british government taxed the colonist a lot of money on tea, paper goods, glass, etc. This was known as the Stamp Act of 1765,Townshend act of 1767 and the Tea Act of 1773. Violence didn’t start happening until british soldiers fired openly on a group of american colonist. This attack was known a the boston massacre. A group of Bostonians dressed up like mohawk indians in 1773. The colonist were very upset,so some people boycotted by throwing tea into the harbor. The british parliament were unhappy so they created an act known as the Intolerable Acts. This Act was made to restrict power to massachusetts. The Revolutionary war started in 1775.

The reason American soldiers fought in the war was because they wanted their freedom and rights from Britain. The colonist were not having it therefore this is how the quote was made. The phrase was made because they had no representation in British Parliament. This was the idea behind the phrase No taxation without representation. There were multiple battles in the American revolution. The first battle of the American Revolution was the battle of Lexington and Concord. On April !9 around 700 british troops came upon 77 minuteman in Lexington in the town of green. The result of the battle of Lexington was that about 200 British were either killed injured or were missing. The United States lost a lot of Minutemen but at the end of the battle America won. This battle was bad for the British but good for the colonists. This battle is important because This was the first battle in the American revolution. After this battle British troops went back to Boston. The second battle of the Revolutionary War was the siege of Fort Ticonderoga. The third battle was The battle of Chelsea Creek. The Fourth battle was The battle of Bunker.

The Fifth battle was the battle of Quebec. This battle was fought at Quebec city in 1775.This battle killed 5 people and wounded 14 british soldiers. The sixth battle was the battle of Long Island. The seventh battle was the battle of white plains. The eighth battle was the battle of Fort Washington. This battle was fought in 1776.The ninth battle was fought in 1776 in jersey. This battle was the battle of Trenton. The next battle was the battle of Princeton. This battle was fought in 1777.The battle after that was the battle of Oriskany. This battle was fought in the year 1777.Then it was the battle of Bennington. After the Battle of Bennington their was another battle named the battle of Brandywine.

The next Important battle was the battle of Saratoga. This battle was important because This was the turning point of the war.About 5,000 hessian and British troops surrendered on October 17,1777.The french entered the battle and joined the colonist in the fight against britain in 1778. Saratoga battle was very important because The United States won the battle.I also feel that the battle was also a bad thing because lots of people died. There were more battles after battle of Saratoga. The last important battle was the battle of Yorktown.George Washington commanded about 17,000 continental and French soldiers.Charles Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington. This was the most important battle in the American Revolution. The American revolution ended in 1783. The American Revolution lasted about seven to eight years. The result of the war was British Parliament agreed to the treaty of Paris of 1783. This officially ended the war. At the end the United States won the American revolution therefore it was a victory. The Treaty of Paris was a document that recognized The United states as a independent and free country.
