How it works

The American Civil War was a battle between the South and the North after a number of states in the south seceded after Lincoln's Presidency. The battle started off as states rights but as the battle went on and advanced the battle was fighting to end slavery. Nobody had any idea that this battle would eventually turn into the deadliest battle in American history. This battle cost many people their lives on the battlefield and beyond. Also, it cost a severe amount of money which could've possibly never happened if the battle had turned out differently.

Have you ever thought about what it would be like if the Civil War never happened? What if the Union had remained? For one thing, if so many young men didn't die in the war the United States would've defeated the western regions much faster than it actually did, also the Native American tribes' livelihood on those lands would have been even more dehumanized in the process. An anti-immigrant idea would have been greater in the late 19th Century than it was since it wouldn't be a recognized need for more people to come to the United States from other parts of the world. States that enrolled in the Union after the 1860s still would've had slaves if they were located in the southwest, although the Industrial Revolution of the late 19th Century would have made slavery broadly unsuccessful.

Both Northern Abolitionists and the European States were anti-slavery might have succeeded in putting enough pressure on the United States for it to pass an Amendment abolishing slavery, but the southern states would've been able to section amendments accepting citizenship and voting rights to free African Americans. As result, the Supreme Court had no legal basis to blame the Jim Crow laws and strategies of the South, resulting in racial separation.

Meaning that many forms of American culture, such as music, would have never become popular. The United States would've looked at Mexico as an intruder due to undocumented people coming across the border in a course of time leading to another war with Mexico. I believe the Cold War would have lasted longer, which would've to lead to more damage to the interests of the United States. Causing African Americans to be more abetting of Communism. My ultimate conclusion that is without that American Civil War African Americans would still be slaves today.
