Religious View on same Sex Marriage
What is the different view of same sex marriage in the eyes of god and people outside the church? The view of god is that everyone is equal and that no matter what the race or gender is, anyone should be allowed to marry whoever they want. said it has tallied 3 percentage point increases in support for each of its last three national surveys on the topic. The percent of people is showing us that we are all for same sex marriage and that 67 percent of us will support it.
In the latest poll, 83 percent of respondents who identified as Democrats said they support legal recognition of same-sex marriage, while some of Republican respondents and 71 percent of independents expressed support.
Gallup increased acceptance of same sex marriage, which a 2015 Supreme Court decision made legal in all 50 state, comes as greater number of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender adults are getting married in the U.S. More than 10.4% of LGBT adults are married to a same-sex spouse, according to daily tracking on the issue in 2017. The increase from 2016 to 2017 when up 0.4% from 2012 to 2016 it went up 0.6%. In 1980 and 1999 the millennials increased and were identified as lgbt. More than two-thirds of Americans say they support same-sex marriage, according to a new Gallup poll published Wednesday. The lgbt percentage went from 7.3 to 8.1 percent and they were all millennials and it keeps going up by 5.8 percent. It then increased 2.3 percent from 2012 to 2017. The LGBT percentage keeps going up and there are less amount of LGBT people in the world than there were 10 years ago. Gallup found the percentage of American adults identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) and it went from 3.5 percent in 2012 to 4.1 percent in 2016 to 4.5 percent in 2017, when Gallup began tracking the measure.
In modern day right now we have less and less people that are gay, lesbian, transgender, and bisexual. In 1976, the Church declared that homosexual persons are children of God who have a full and equal claim with all other persons upon the love, acceptance, and pastoral concern and care of the Church. Since then, faithful Episcopalians have been working toward a greater understanding and radical inclusion of all of God’s children. The church is saying that gays, bisexuals, lesbians, and transfers are all children of god and therefore can make their own decision with the right of god. The church believes that it is ok to let they marry each other because all children of god are created equal and should get the same rights as other people do. Many churches in our directory belong to denominations that have rules and regulations in place which may affect their ability to marry people of the same gender. A few denominations, most notably the Metropolitan Community Churches, United Church of Christ, the Presbyterian church, The Episcopal Church and the Evangelical Lutheran church in america all welcome same-gender marriage on a denominational level.
The church is called the Denominational Polity. Many churches have policies regarding who can get married. Congregational rules may include requirements for church membership, pre-marital counseling, the wedding location, interfaith marriage, and more. This church is called the Congregational Policy. Some churches think that it is okay and allow it, but on the other hand some states think that it shouldn’t be allowed and dont allow it. Same sex marriage should be allowed no matter what the circumstances are. Some churches say that they are fine with the fact that people are marrying the same sex and they will still get them married. Some other churches dont allow it as much as the other churches do. The people think that every church should allow it because their are some people that want to and are getting denied by the church. The people believe that the lgbt community should have a chance and be able to marry whoever they want. Some churches will even kick people out if they are lgbt or if they are trying to marry someone of the same sex.
