Gay Marriages are Everywhere Around you

Your friends, neighbors, maybe even your family. We should be free to marry whoever we want. Do you know the facts about gay marriage rights and how it affects people’s everyday lives? Gay rights allow people to be who they are. If you’re gay you should be able to express how you feel and be yourself. Individual concerns are a big part of gay marriage rights because even though it’s legal, people can still get discriminated if they go out with their significant other.

A lot of people want to protect their children from being around gays but according to James Kellard “ Children cannot be shielded from information that is widely available on television and elsewhere, and there is no reason religious groups should be allowed to define marriage for homosexuals.” We need to erase discrimination as a whole and just accept people how they are.

Family concerns are huge when it comes to gay marriage because if you’re family can’t accept you then you won’t feel comfortable being who you are. Family is a big part of people’s lives and their opinion is the one that counts. It can cause enormous problems because if you’re not comfortable you can be in the wrong type of relationship for you and be very unhappy. Like i said if your family isn’t comfortable with you then you’re gonna feel like it’s not okay for you to be gay.

Legal concerns isn’t as big as it used to be in the US but it’s still a big deal because its not legal everywhere to marry who you love. On March 31, 2016 same sex marriage was legal in all 50 states in the US. Which falls under the same tree, Trump passes a law where it’s okay for doctors to deny health care to transgender patients if they feel the need. It seems that our lgbtq rights were getting so good and they seem to drastically decline. Legal concerns should not have to be a factor when figuring out who you should marry.

It’s our responsibility to uphold our end of same sex marriages. People in the US need to stop discriminating because we’re all people too. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean you always have to voice your opinion. We all need to learn to accept people even though they’re not always how we’re gonna want them to be.

Religion is held in high regard of same sex marriage. It can be looked at in different ways. Some people say you shouldn’t be gay because the bible is against it but also the bible says that man should have love. A bible quote is “above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.” a bible quote against gay marriage is leviticus 18:22 which states “you shall not lie with a male as with a women: it is an abomination”. The thing that confuses people even though it clearly states you shouldn’t be gay is that the bible is all about love and accepting people “for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” In conclusion, same sex marriage is not treated equally as straight marriages. And we need to pass some discrimination laws to help better our community. Everyone should be treated equal no matter who they love.”
