A True Reason of Othello Demise

The novel Othello is about a General man named Othello and his wife Desdemona, just trying to be a normal couple, but problems occur when Iago starts to stir things up and starts to put lies in Othello’s head. Iago starts to stir things up because Iago wanted to get the rank as lieutenant but Othello thought Cassio deserved it more and gave it to him so Iago wants revenge and wants to mess up Othello’s relationship with Desdemona.

Iago is responsible for Othello’s demise. Iago was responsible for Othello’s demise because he is the one putting all the lies into Othello’s head and the lies were actually getting to him. Iago comes to talk to Othello and and starts telling him about his wife and what she has been up to. “It is a creature that dotes on Cassio as tis the strumpets plague to beguile many and be beguiled by one” The quote is about Othello and Iago talking about Desdemona cheating on Othello with Cassio and how she’s fond of Cassio. This shows how Iago was a major factor in Othello’s demise because he was just filling his head with lies.

Iago was responsible for Othello’s demise because he tells Othello all these lies which gets Othello thinking about his relationships and the doubts he has on it. “Ay there’s a point as to be bold with you…Foh one may smell in such a will most rank foul disproportional, thought unnatural. This quote is about when Iago is furtherly explaining how Desdemona was in an affair with Cassio to Othello and he questions himself on why he married her. This shows how Iago was even going further in to make Othello think about his relationship with Desdemona making sure he ruined their relationship.

This is basically showing how Iago was the reason of Othello’s demise and why he changed throughout the play.Iago is the reason for Othello’s demise because even he himself knows that what he was doing was working and he knew he was responsible for Othello’s downfall.Work on,my medicine work, By medicine Iago is saying that he wants the lies he put in Othello’s head to work and keep working so he can change and become a different person because now he’s filled with lies and he’s starting to affect Othello which was what Iago wanted.

This basically just shows how Iago was responsible for Othello’s demise and he knows it because he’s been planning on manipulating Othello since the beginning.Iago was responsible for Othello’s demise because he was the one who did the most impact on Othello to change his character to a whole different person, He used his manipulation skills to change Othello and filling his head with the lies Othello thought were true. Iago was responsible and he knows it because he wanted him to change ever since he didn’t give him the promotion to Lieutenant and he needed his revenge so he told Othello all his lies and Othello didn’t know what to believe so he believed Iago because he thought he would never lie to him but that was smart by Iago knowing that Othello would never suspect but Iago is still responsible for Othello’s demise.
