Singapore is a strong country led by some of the greatest leaders which one is known as Lee Kuan Yew, Lee Kuan Yew fought for not having democracy, always thought fundamentally competitive, and accomplished a lot. Lee is was born in Singapore on September 16,1923 , then became Singapore first Prime Minister, also he was known as the longest-serving PM in history and during his long rule, Singapore became the most prosperous country in Southeast Asia.(4) Lee is mainly in charged for making sure to that people are well disciplined and and hardworking than any other country.
Lee was a man with unmatched intelligence and judgement. Lee Kuan Yew vision about Singapore was that it wouldn’t simply survive, but prevail by excelling. Lee Kuan Yew has made himself an indispensable friend of the United States, not primarily by the power he represents, but by the excellence of his thinking.
Over the years, Lee has been an remarkable prime minister, which his public speaking has always been unique from others. Lee has developed close friendship with America and other world statesmen. As our 41st president George W. Bush has stated “The of Association Southeast Asian Nations will continue upon Mr. Lee outstanding legacy … I thank you for honoring a man admire so much.” (1) This states the relationship that Mr. Lee and America had a great relationship as they started U.S.-ASEAN. Lee had been taking the right decisions for his country; as he fought for not wanting to have democracy, which was by making the right values and the right economic policies to ensure to make his country a successful society. Also from this day forward, Lee tirelessly working has advance those leaders that have become after him, to have that full admiration towards others. (1) Also as they will never forget Lee’s contribution and hardworking he made for his country.
As Overtime, Singapore has become more developed and affluent so there able to make connection the all the world’s people. Lee has always spoken about how often Asian values which he believe that gave Singapore an important advantage socially and economically. Mr Lee has always defended Singapore as he proposed conscription, with everyone playing a part of defending Singapore, will help the best way to build up the Singapore Armed Forces.(5) Lee has always thought about his country first, for their political right which was that to not have democracy. Lee has built Singapore for five decades which he has produced more wealth per capita, more health, and more security for ordinary citizens than any of his competitors.(3) Which he felt there wasn’t no reason for Singapore to have democracy and which cause most citizens exercise of their political rights. Also as Lee stated “ If you believe in democracy, you must believe in it unconditionally.”(2) What Lee means that if those who want to be free as having free association, free of speech, and free of publication.
When Lee was prime minister he did a lot of his career and accomplish a lot. Over the years, Lee has stood out with his public services which gave him the award of Woodrow Wilson Award for Public Service, which is belief in public discourse, scholarship, and the extension of the benefits of knowledge in the United States and around the world.(6) Others felt like Lee was a great Minister Mentor as he helped literally millions of people that live in Singapore and across Asia, to help those live better and more prosperous lives. Also Mr. Lee and his team (Dr Goh Keng Swee, Mr Lim Kim San and Mr Hon Sui Sen) had embraced a export- oriented industrialisation strategy to create jobs.(5)
As hardworking Lee was he made sure to ensure that Singapore was accepted to the United Nations in 1965, and after that he declared a policy of neutrality and non-alignment. Lee has always helped singapore become a self-government state, so then they can form their own constitution. Also now today, Singapore has many connections with over 180 countries and have 49 overseas missions.
Lee has help Singapore become a Britain’s colony and and they held Britain’s main naval base in the Far East.(4) As his hard work has paid off, he was honored with award from Britain called Order of the Companies. The country had became comprising wealthy Chinese businessmen who were appointed rather than elected by the people. As Lee always felt there was an competition as becoming on of the best Prime Minister, which this had separated him from other priemer. Which most other leaders admire Mr. Lee hardworking and unique ways of public speaking and leadership to make them become better leaders than Lee. As Lee has one of the most amazing career as a prime minister, he had accomplished a lot out his entire career.
Most people are worrying about how the future is going to be like for instance is where going to have rights or are we’re still going to free. But Lee feels as the future is what you make of it, so if your doing bad how are you think your future going to be good. As he state in his book “We owe it to ourselves to give of our best to build the foundation of a harmonious and integrated nation, peaceful, and etc in a nonviolent world.”(2) As we thought everyone will rather have a peaceful world than a world full with violence, Mr. Lee has given a lot of advice of making the world a better place from his public speaking.
Even though Lee has died of pneumonia on March 23 2015, at the age 91.
Through all the years of Lee being PM, they will never forget the contributions and his legacy of putting the country first. He authored a many books in his lifetime, which is known as “ The Singapore Story,” “The Wit and Wisdom of Lee Kuan Yew” and “One Man‘s View of World.”(6) There were many leaders that had great things to say about how clever he was, he was political, and had an outgoing personality. Some other leaders felt if Lee wasn’t that good as a leader because fought about not having democracy in his country. But others thought differently as he was doing the right thing for his country and the people that lives in Singapore.
