Severity of Physical Activity of Children in Secondary School
Children should have P.E. every year in high school because it can release stress and anger; they need to just get out in competitive activity. Throwing a ball or playing a game with physical activity can reduce a student's anger or stress they may have in school. "Reframing is a mental technique used to defuse hostile feelings and anger," according to the authors Richard West and Lynn H. Turner, in their book, Understanding Interpersonal Communication: Making Choices in Changing Times.
In the U.S. only half of the kids meet the government’s physical activity guideline of doing at least sixty minutes of physical activity every day. School is the best place to be physically active considering the amount of time students spend there each day. P.E. exposes students to various sports they may come to like and might be encouraged to play, such as football or basketball. Physical education in school can help kids stay in shape or even stay fit.
P.E. can give kids a sense of competition and teach them how to work together as a team, as well as understand each other's playing style. This could determine if their teammates play fast or slow to win a game in P.E., or maybe even out on the court or field. Playing with each other teaches them how not to be selfish and informs them they have options.
Physical education classes, if run properly, can have a significant impact on the emotional and mental health of teenagers. They can also aid students in developing crucial social skills such as cooperation, empathy, and teamwork. Moreover, when done correctly, it can lead to higher self-esteem and increased sense of self-worth.
Obesity typically results from a lack of exercise and an increase in body weight. This can be caused by not participating in the physical activities that schools put in place. Several factors can lead to obesity, such as the imbalance between the number of calories burned and the number of calories consumed each day. Physical activity can prevent people from becoming overweight, keep them in a healthy shape, and aid in weight loss.
In conclusion, we should have P.E. in high school every year because our country is becoming increasingly unhealthy and our students are going to have to learn to work together in a changing world. They can achieve this by partaking in physical exercises alongside their peers and the P.E. teacher. Obesity is growing in our country every year, so it is time to take action.
