In addition to this, according to, multiple studies show that students who play sports have a higher probability that they will create better and more positive friendships, and there is a lower likeliness that they will commit a crime because of the decreased amount of unsupervised and inactive “down time”. Lastly, physical activity is shown to have emotional and mental benefits.

Also, a word of inspiration and compliment from parents, friends, and coaches make a student feel accepted, and a motivated student has better chances of doing well in a class than a student who sees everything to be against him/her. Sports are also shown to fight stress.
