The Suffering of Black Women
Black women have suffered through the tyranny of patriarchy and cultural degradation because of their gender, mental health challenges, and a multiplicity of social challenges in their personal lives and the environment where they live, work, and play. Such tyranny terrorizes black bodies, especially black female bodies. The terror emerges out of fear based on many differences and life choices, resulting in systemic oppression and confusion. That dominant culture ranks one group as superior over another, and that that group has the right to control others occurs due to biases and oppression embedded in systemic, white supremacist patriarchal misogamist informed, social institutions and practices, from policing and employment to housing, media images, and political oppression. Policies and practices create our Identity.
This research project addresses the selected psychological issues that affect black women from a womanist theological perspective. After we define the terms and our perspective, we explore critical, biblical, theological and ethical questions concerning: (1) gender bias, and the attitudes and behavior that incite discriminatory outcomes; (2) the degradation of gender identity because of sexual orientation, color of their skin, and socio-economic levels; (3) the impact of mental health challenges as one of the leading social issues that affect black women in society and in many black churches.

The degradation of (Black women) gender identity because of sexual orientation, color of their skin, and socio-economic levels has been identified in what research has proven radicalized and gendered rules that are holding women back. As, I have examined that there are many sources that have been used in the findings in our world where power and possibility are not limited by gender, race, class, sexual orientation, disability or age. It has been determined that women’s acceptance or truth that may exist in fairness or justice of inclusion that the theory of natural selection of a true democracy in which the worth and dignity of every person are valued.
There have been findings that social individuals in our country, Black women experience some of the bluntest inequalities, and biases across nearly every social and economic display. It has been in consistently considered that white women, women of color have higher levels of unemployment and poverty; they have knowingly less affluence; they are more likely to be under attack by and come in connection with the criminal justice system; they are at a much higher risk, regardless of their wages or tutelage, of becoming nonexistent as a result of pregnancy and of losing their children in infancy; they are less likely to own a home and more likely to have high-risk mortgages when they do own a home; they are less likely to attend college and, when they do, tend to carry heavier student debt burdens. Women of color are also at the greatest risk in the current civil environment, in which traditionalists are hostile, a range of public services from health coverage to education access to financial systems, while some on the left wish to abandon “distinctiveness legislations” in favor of a singular focus on class and economic issues. The inequities we describe throughout this paper make clear what Black women of color have to lose in this era of increasingly right-wing opposition, and also elucidate why a class-only approach will incomprehensible and intensify the inequities experienced by women of color. In recent years, some progressive political leaders have suggested that improving economic conditions for women—by increasing the minimum wage, instituting paid family leave and paid sick leave, and expanding affordable childcare—will create the rising tide that will lift all boats.() These matters are indeed unsympathetically imperative to all low-income women, and particularly to women of color, who are disproportionately embodied among low wage workers. But, we can show why addressing these issues alone will not be sufficient to improve opportunities and outcomes for women, and particularly for women of color. It is known and we should pronounce how vast numerous damages of women’s mental health have affected many, which exist largely because of the location of women of color at the intersection of numerous systemic barriers—hinder economic opportunities and limit the impact of those economic opportunities when they are accessed. () Racism and sexism, like many other forms of discrimination, have been baked into our social and economic systems and will not simply fall away as a fairer economy emerges.()
Sexual orientation is referred to each person’s capacity for profound emotional, affectional and sexual attraction to, and intimate and sexual relations with, another person. () Lori Lightfoot is the first Black lesbian married woman to be voted as major of Chicago, a great example of who has fought the barriers of what women have discussed and won against all the disparities that she and other women has faced with in the political or workplace era. Black women must continue to struggle against misrepresentation in a society that still undervalues who they really are and who they try to become. Copeland states that the “black struggle for authenticity with the human struggle to be human and reveals black-human-being as a particular incarnation of universal finite human being”.() But, as we study the overall contributions to contemporary scholarship, Patricia Hill Collins states that “black women “inhabit a sex/gender chain of command in which inequalities of race and social class have been sexualized.” (pg 19 WT book) It is important to make the point that race, class, gender and social economics are not improver categories; rather, they are interlocking, interactive, and above all relational ones. For the majority of Black women, race, class, and gender are the methodical concepts that have the greatest descriptive power in interpreting and predicting their conditions of existence. As we try to continue and describe in detail a wide range of disparities and inequities experienced by women of color across the domains of bias, degradation of sexual orientation, and mental health. As I, explain that these outcomes are not the result of individual apathy or aptitudes, as conservatives often suggest, but rather an extension of a web of racialized and gendered rules to policies, institutions, and practices—that have emerged from this country long history of racial discrimination and prejudice. Black women in America stands at the height of marginalization, they are living in a white dominated patriarchal society, and are seen as the direct opposite of importance. They are considered minorities because they say they are “less significant” amongst their sex within the minority. We somehow have to undergird the strength and force, which Black women have throughout history and even now in these days of our society. The Black man was asked to wait their turn, but in turn they never completely abandoned their fight for fairness.
A Black woman has learned that they must continue to fight a never ending fight for injustice and inequality in this society. It is a battle for the struggle of a Black woman and the tyranny of patriarchy and cultural degradation because of socio-economical levels of the Black women that is an historic era in a world for equal treatment. The historical aspect of Black women and them receiving education, to obtain work, to enter into prominent careers, to vote and to stand for elections were all highly challenged matters that they had to accomplish. But, the Civil Rights Movement radical plan has been both acknowledged and reputable through law and usual dogmatic practice in most societies. However, Black women in many parts of the world still face difficulties in exploring these civil rights. It has been proven for many years that women’s ability to enjoy civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights is intertwined with such issues of discrimination. It has been the issue of gender ideology and patriarchy and was not considered privileged. This was due to the apart from sex discrimination and violence against women from certain rights that was a result from a letdown of the coercion of women as governmental. But, for years Black women’s movement has well thought out women in place to use the constitutional rights as a structure to mainstream women’s issues, rather than have the movement remain on the sidelines, benefiting from special programs or containing as a movement to separate and apart from the rest of the human rights movement.
