How it works

Ruth’s experienced in life, The Color Of Water. These qualities that Ruth expressed are what TV scene called to my attention. They are spiritual, such as compassion, unfailing devotion, respect, grace, honesty, integrity, and generosity.

She had twelve children born to two husbands, Andrew Dennis McBride sr. and Hunter jordan sr. More than anything else in her life, Ruth values her children and her relationship to God. a white women who married two black men and gave birth to twelve mixed-race children, Ruth dislikes discussing race, but nevertheless values open-mindedness and condemns bigotry.

Ruth has dealt with significant trauma over the course of her life, and deals with painful emotions by locking them away in her mind and doing her best to forget about them.

Ruth’s life story began in Moab, where, as a young Moabite woman, she married a man from Bethlehem. Her husband, along with his family, had moved to Moab because of a famine in the land of Judah. Tragically, both Ruth’s husband and his brother died. Her mother-in-law, Naomi, also a widow, was the only one of the original family still living.

Ruth is an example of how god can change a life and take it in a direction he has foreordained. We see Him working out his perfect plan in Ruth’s life, just as He does with all His children. Although Ruth came from a pagan background in Moab, once she met the God of Israel, she became a living testimonial to Him by faith. Even though she lived in humble circumstances before marrying Boaz, she believed that God was faithful to care for his people. Also, Ruth is an example to us of hard work and faithfulness.

She has good reason to blame her husband Elimelech, but he’s dead. Some say he died because he abandoned Israel in a time of great need. Tradition has it that he fled Judea to avoid having to share his substantial wealth with the working poor during a disastrous famine. They would also argue that the sons died because they married foreign wives. Regardless of blame, sojourning in Moab was to live as a resident alien and forfeit all legal rights. And thus, when he and then his sons died his wife was left destitute. Her only recourse was to return to a place where she could claim some rights related to the land which evidently her husband had relinquished.
