Stanley Martin Lieber was born on 12/28/1922 in New York City. He was born to write superhero comic books and then became multibillion-dollar movie empire. The beginning of his career as an office assistant at Timely Comics in 1939. His first few jobs were odd, but he had to help his parents to pay bills. Stan Lee said this in 2011 "I must've been the only one who applied because I got the job, and I thought it would be a temporary job, I had never thought of writing comics.
Stan Lee used to say comics were thought of as children's novelty, but later they became more interesting, so he stayed with it. In 1960 Timely Comics was renamed Marvel Comics. Lee and artist Jack Kirby created Fantastic Four in attempt to compete with DC Comics hit title Justice League of America.
Followed by these comic books: Spider-Man, Black Panther, the X-Men, and the Incredible Hawk. By 1972 Lee became named as the editorial director and publisher of Marvel Comics. After 60 years with Marvel, he left to create his own group Stan Lee Media, but he's named as the Marvel's chairman emeritus, so he kept a hand in Marvel. In February 2001 Stan Lee Media filed for bankruptcy, so the company didn't last long. By 2004 he went back in Business with Pow Entertainment and continued to develop new characters and franchises. In the late 2000s through the 2010s Marvel created television series. He served as executive producer on a lot of the Marvel's.
Lee got short cameo roles and appeared in every film to entertain his fans. He continued to work till the very end of his life, however, he mentioned in his last years that he had some difficulties with his eyesight, he can't read basically everything that was small print. It was a rare break for Lee, but he continued to make new superhero ideas, he also continued to do meet-and-greets with his fans singing his signature phrase 'Excelsior! Lee's wife Joan died of a stroke in June 2017, followed by her death Stan Lee "The Man died of pneumonia at the age of 95 on November 12, 2018.
