About me and my Sister Future Plans and how they did Throughout the Lifespan and what God Intended for me
Personally I have always had a strong belief that God sends people to us all for specific reasons. When I walked into the room waiting to find my sister to interview I was incredibly nervous. I had concerns of having nothing to discuss or having difficulty relating to my sister’s life experiences. However, as soon as sister Regina sat down with Lauren and I all my worries had gone away completely. The warmth and love sister Regina gives off is truly indescribable, I had never met someone so friendly and caring at a first meeting.
Immediately she had begun to chat with us and there was absolutely no time for uncomfortable silence between learning about her childhood, high school years and even college.
Sister really spoke to me as if she knew all the worries I have regarding my future plans in life. Sister had told us a very inspiring story how she had always known that she was going to be a teacher, because she had such amazing teachers as a child she wanted to be able to provide for children as they did for her. She had gone on to say that after many years of teaching she suffered a stroke that led to major life changes. Since having had the stroke sister had to be in rehabilitation for months to try and regain everything she had lost, ultimately causing her to leave teaching. As I was listening all I could think about was how we all can sit and try to plan every detail of our lives but no matter what God always has his plan for us.
There have been many times in my life I have planned and planned, and put so much effort and thought into each and every big life plan I was going to do. I never once asked God if that is what He intended for me. So often I feel we can become devastated when the plans that were not meant for us don’t work out. No matter how much effort and planning we do to support a dream or a relationship, they often crumble because we were so focused on obtaining our version of a fairy tale ending that we don’t even think about the gigantic and beautiful plans that God has made for us.
During this journey, things won't always come easy. We All just have to learn to be patient with what is thrown your way. Through it all, in the end, it will be worth it. We have to look at what we may want and what's important to us when things get in the way. We need time to sit back and take a look at what we have and what we want. Decide what we are willing to give up and what we can't see ourselves without. We must be who we are, no matter who that person may be, im it is great. We must be the person who was able to stay true to themselves throughout their journey. To be the one who finds out who they really are and lights the path for others in the world to find out who they really are.
