The Articles of Confederation were the first laws in America. Adams was elected lieutenant governor, under John Hancock in 1789. Then became governor in 1793 because John Hancock died. The Articles of Confederation were a big part in our laws. But Samuel Adams served an even bigger part in our history.

The Boston Tea party played a big part in American history. Samuel Adams played a big role in the Boston Tea Party witch helped lots of people. During the Boston tea Party Samuel Adams was one of the Sons of Liberty. Adams was one of the driving forces leading to the Tea Party but did not participate in it. The Sons of Liberty was a secret organization that was created in the 13 American Colonies. They created the organization to fight against taxation by the British Government. During the Tea Party they dumped 342 chests of British tea into the harbor. Samuel Adams played a vital role in the Boston Tea Party and fighting against British Taxation.

Sam Adams had a pretty successful early life. He went to Harvard College and graduated in 1740. ¨He would soon be known as a patriot and one of the United States Founding Fathers.¨ (biography.com) Adams was born September 27, 1722, in Boston, Massachusetts. Adams married Elizabeth Checkley on October 17, 1749 then Elizabeth died July 25, 1757. They had 2 kids Samuel.jr and Hannah. Adams then married Elizabeth Wells on December 6, 1764 then Samuel Adams died October 2, 1803. Adams did many good things in his life and the choices he made were successful.

Adams did many things to help with the birth of our nation. Without him our nation would be different. He helped us out a lot in his life. By the time he died Adams did many good things in his lifetime. Adams was a patriot that will be known for a long time as someone who fought against Britain.
