Leaders like opportunities, managers handle opportunity. A leader doesn’t mind trying new ideas and don’t mind failing. Efficient leaders know that failure is usually a move on the route to achievement. Managers strive to decrease uncertainty. effective management attempts to evade or manage difficulties. Leaders think about future endeavors, while managers deal with here and now task. Leaders have experience. A good leader stays motivated and doesn’t need a reward to make them stay for the long haul.

Managers concentrate on shorter-term plans and routine recognition. Leaders view their workers as responsible and are hopeful about their potential. a Leader lets their worker decide how to complete tasks. Managers allocate responsibilities and give direction on how to perform job duties. Leaders welcome change, even if something is working well, an effective leader would still always look for useful ways to get ahead. Managers adhere to perfecting methods and procedures that work for them. Leaders view their workers as responsible and are hopeful about their potential. a Leader lets their worker decide how to complete tasks. Managers allocate responsibilities and give direction on how to perform job duties. Leaders welcome change, even if something is working well, an effective leader would still always look for useful ways to get ahead. Managers adhere to perfecting methods and procedures that work for them. The distinction separating leaders and managers is that people follow leaders while managers have employees. For a company to grow and become A thriving business, the company needs to have effective leadership and management to help the company move forward.

Whereas a manager’s role is to essentially “keep things in order” in regards to work environment and staff obedience. And the managers make sure that policies and procedures are being followed by every individual. The managers are the ones who do their principal duties on managing the resources and the work due process. They personally are taking part in providing the resources according to the needs. They even give importance on the pre-registration for the resources while issuing the needs. Therefore, managers are more of the dictators.

In conclusion Leaders and manager have two separate roles that share some similarities, but they are not the same. An organization needs leadership and management to be successful. The Art and Science of Leadership’ leaders have long-term and future-oriented perspectives and provide a vision for their followers to look beyond their immediate surroundings, managers take short-term perspectives and focus on routine issues within their own immediate departments or groups'(pg 9) The best way to explain the variation between a manager is that is okay with reaching the goal while leaders are willing to break the bar.
