Michael Jordan – Best Basketball Player of all Time

Who is the best basketball player of all time? Well one reason he might be is he scored 69 points in one game. I will tell you about his childhood, and about how he got to be the best. Also his greatest accomplishments.

Michael Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York, But later moved to North Carolina. He has two older brothers, an older sister and a younger sister. He played football, basketball, and baseball. He was 5 foot 9 inches as a sophmore and went out for the varsity basketball team and was cut.

But then he grew and made the team the next year and averaged about 25 points per game. He became the first player in high scool history to average a triple-double. He lead his team to a state championship. He also was talented at baseball and pitched 45 consecutive scoreless innings. In the All-American basketball game he scored 30 points wich was a record.

Later on after his high scool career he went on to join thr North Carolina Tar Heels. He played there for three years and was a part of the National Championship as a freshman. He was the third overall pick and he was selected to be with the Chicago Bulls. He was stunning the crowd with his amazing dunks from the freethrow line. He also became one of the best defensive basketball players in the league. He retired at one point to go play minor league baseball but was soon to come back with the Bulls, and one 3 Championships. Then he retired for a second time but then retuerned as a Washington Wizard. Then he finally retired for good.

However, through his career he had many accomplishments. He won 6 NBA championships. He earned 14 MVP awards. He also was selected to 14 All-Star games, and won 10 scoring titles. He won the Rookie of the Year award in 1985. In 1988 he won the Defensive Player of the Year award. In 1998, 1996, and 1988 he won the All-Star MVP award. In 1997, 1998, and 1999 he won the Best Male Athlete ESPY award. In 1996 he won the Best Comeback Athlete ESPY award.
