All about the Late Great Aretha

Did you know Aretha Franklin taught herself how to play piano, but couldn’t read music? She was also the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Hall of Fame. Mrs. Franklin had five siblings and their names are, Erma, Cecil, Carolyn, Vaughn, and Carl Ella. Aretha was 14 when she created her first album. She was a very talented singer because she could hit anywhere from a G2 to E6, in her late teens and early adulthood. She became pregnant at age 14, and her sisters Erma and Carolyn helped Aretha take care of her baby. Aretha went Northern Senior High School, in Detroit, Michigan which she dropped out of.
