Why does People Consume Weed/Marijuana?

The definition of “weed” is: a wild plant growing where it is not wanted and in competition with cultivated plants. Most of the people that use weed are young adults but nowadays more than only young adults or teenagers use it, if you search up on the web “why does people consume weed/marijuana?” the answer you get is: According to a study in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, besides the reasons mentioned above, young people may also use marijuana to feel good, ease boredom, relieve tension or frustration, seek deeper insights, escape problems, or to increase (or decrease) the effects of other drugs.

If you ask a person that consumes weed/marijuana why they do it the answer you’re going to get is that makes them feel chill and forget about their problems or makes them stress less or just makes “life easier”. Weed/Marijuana it’s also used as “medical marijuana”, is used to treat a number of different conditions, including: Alzheimer’s disease Appetite loss Cancer Crohn’s disease Eating disorders such as anorexia Epilepsy Glaucoma Mental health conditions like schizophrenia and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) Multiple sclerosis Muscle spasms Nausea Pain Wasting syndrome (cachexia).

Marijuana is only legal in 10 states. Marijuana/weed should be legal in every state since people already use it for medicine and some people already make money off it, it makes you stress free and calms your nerves down and i believe it controls anger issues and distracts you from depression or whenever you’re sad.

Marijuana/weed is not an addictive drug, your body might crave it but you wont “need” it or drive crazy crazy without it so in my personal opinion marijuana/weed should be legal. Since marijuana has been used a 0% of people ever died or overdose from it; also around a 40% of just americans already consumed marijuana. A millions of people have died because of drug overdose, so why not make the only drug that is not going to kill you or make you addicted legal?

Marijuana/weed is so much safer than legalized drugs. People use marijuana to help them sleep so you won’t have to worry about taking them other pills that can easily overdose you anymore. Weed is not a drug that you are only able to smoke, you’re able to eat an edible with weed in it and it would get you “high” enough so you won’t to worry about coughing or affecting your respiratory system because of the smoke.
