Elon Musk’s Revolutionary Innovations

Elon Reeve Musk, despite his South African roots, is currently one of the most astounding, and important, American Inventor and Innovator of all time. Throughout his life he has founded many companies, and been an extremely successful, and helpful, entrepreneur. From his company Space X to Tesla, he is working to forward human kinds growth, development, and making the world an all-around better place. Elon has gained a great name for himself and massive success, but he is still working hard for our world.

Elon was born June 28, 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa, and stayed there until he was 17 years old. At this point in his life he moved to Canada to further his education at Queen’s University, as well as to avoid serving in the South African Military. After spending his time at Queen’s University, he went to study business and physics at the University of Pennsylvania. Graduating with an undergraduate degree for business and a bachelor degree in physics. After graduating the University of Pennsylvania, Elon decided to go Stanford University in hopes of receiving a PhD in energy physics. However, during his time at Stanford, the Internet Boomed and Elon dropped out after just two days since starting. This is when Elon Launched his first company Zip2 Corporation.

Zip2 was a phenomenal company, and great innovation to already made online city guides. His company quickly grew to be providing website content to such companies as The New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune. In the year 1999 Elon sold Zip2 Corporation for a value of over 340 million. After this Elon soon founded a company originally called X.com this online company specialized in online financial services and payments. In 2002, this company was bought by eBay and re-named PayPal.

Elon then launched one of his most successful, innovative and well-known companies, Space X. Space X is one of the few companies specializing in commercial, private sector space flight. Space X grew, and became very well established in the space industry. It was even awarded a contract by NASA to handle cargo transportation of the International Space Station. Space X made history in 2012 when this transport rocket, known as Falcon 9, launched carrying 1,000 pounds of supplies going to the station. Through many more successes Space X Grew, and breached many more barriers in private space flight. From successfully putting a satellite into orbit, to launching another Falcon 9 equipped with a Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSPO), with intent on observing extreme emittance from the son, and how they affect the power grids on Earth. Space X made yet another leap forward when it successfully landed a Falcon 9 rocket, made from reusable parts. This development helped lead to more affordable space travel.

Despite their massive success Space X did face some setbacks. One came in 2017, form of an explosion during a test of their new Block 5 Merlin Engine. Luckily no one was hurt and the incident hardly hindered their production of the new line of Falcon 9 rockets. Space X has been great catalyst and driving force in the affordable space travel in the private sector. Space X is still working hard today, they even have sights to put a man on Mars. The company was certainly one of Elon Musk’s great innovation.

As wells as the founder of Space X, Elon Musk also founded Tesla Motors in 2003. Tesla is a company intent on producing affordable electric cars, as well as clean battery products, and solar roofs. As well as, being a phenomenal business, Tesla was also a leader in the electric car revolution. Before Tesla there were electric cars, however, they were much less used and Tesla greatly improved them. Before Tesla, General Motors, a previous producer of electric car, recalled all its electric cars. This prompted Elon to do something, he believed that creating a good electric car would be a phenomenal master plan to help save the environment. Elon Musk greatly innovated the electric car. Within the first five years of its formation Tesla conquered many roadblocks, and made many astounding engendering advances. One of the most astounding cars they released, in 2008, was called the Roadster, it was a sports car capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 miles per hour in as little as 3.7 seconds, and could travel nearly 250 miles between charges of its innovative lithium ion battery. Tesla Motors had another major success as it launched its first ever electric sedan. This sedan, capable of traveling 265 miles between charges, was called the Model S, and was honored as the 2013 car of the year by Motor Trend magazine. In 2017 Tesla announced that it had passed General Motors, and was now the most valuable U.S. car manufacturer. Since then, Tesla has been striving towards more success and is still going strong today.

Elon Musk has made many incredible innovations, and rocketed our society forward in many aspects; including our auto industry, space industry, and many online industries as well. Without Elon’s innovations to tools such as the electric car, online maps, commercial space flight, and online paying, the world would be a vary different place. If Elon Musk never founded Tesla and innovated the electric car, the electric car market may have been drastically slowed, even shut down, when General Motors recalled its electric car line. This may have had serious impacts on our planet, and made current pollution and climate change much worse. If Elon Musk never created Space X and innovated commercial space travel, there may be no more hope for space travel. With NASA widely discontinuing its put men farther into space, there is a large need for private sector space travel, and without Space X that might have been out of the picture. If Elon Musk never created PayPal and innovated online paying, there might never have been Apple Pay or Google Pay, both of which were created after PayPal, and in many ways, are based of PayPal innovative concept. There are many things Elon Musk has improved our way of life, and without his innovations the world would be very different, and possibly much worse.

Elon Reeve Musk has innovated many things. With all his new businesses, as well as furthering his success, he has also made the world better for even those who do not use his products. Elon’s innovation is making the world a cleaner, happier, safer, efficient, and adventures place. All in all, Elon’s innovations help make the world what it is today.
