How it works

Brave New World Aldous Huxley's most enduring and prophetic work, Brave New World (1932), describes a future world where human life/death, love and marriage, religion/spirituality, and social class structure is forbidden. It's a world where death is looked over, everyone is programmed to have sex, the word family and mom is seen down at. The new world is controlled by 10 people, in which your programmed to love your job. People in our society grow up around love, family, friends, and became very emotionally scarred if someone dies, just like the Savages.

We know and believe that no one can replace them, and death causes great distress to us and many people in our world. The way the people in the new world are conceived about the value of life and death makes them very different from us. As the director said "We can make a new one with the greatest ease...as many as like ..." (pg 137) When one person dies, this person is forgotten in no time, and become a part of history which is not acknowledged in the new world. This happened because at a young age kids are conditioned to take soma and times of death. Due to this, they become accustomed to the idea of death at a really young age.

The soma helps them feel and simply makes them believe they can make a new person. In Brave New World Marriage and family are not normal concepts. In the world, they don't really know or understand why they do something, or what it means because everyone has been programmed to live life through one person's eye. In chapter 3 we read about the "amazing true" the director told the boys about the old world "Even adolescents," the D.H.C. was saying, "even adolescents like yourselves". "Not possible!" "Barring a little surreptitious suto-erotism and homosexuality absolutely nothing." "Nothing?" "In many cases, until they were over twenty years old." "Twenty years old?" echoed the students in a chorus of loud disbelief." (Pg 35) Because the new world everyone is programmed to have sex with anyone at a young age, think about waiting to have sex until your married or you get older was an unbelievably to them. They never build emotional attachments or commitments to anyone that they meet because it isn't normal. As at the old world you were looked down upon if you go around and sleep with everyone one. Can human beings be trusted in their use of scientific development? Who will decide how to utilize these discoveries? Those are the kind of questions the Brave New Word helps you understand.

Ford is a motor Company is an American multinational automaker headquartered in Dearborn Michigan. It was found by Henry Ford and incorporated on June 16, 1903. "Ninety-six identical twins working ninety-six identical machines!" the voice of the tour guide describes the production of human beings in chapter 1. Henry Ford perfected the assembly line creating automobiles, a concept which leads a big changed a nation as efficient mass production. Religion is hidden and replaced by Ford turn soma suppress emotions and avoid issues, like religion which does not mix mechanical society and machinery. "For myself, as no doubt for most of my friends, the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation from a certain system of morality. We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom. The supporters of this system claimed that it embodied the meaning-the Christian meaning they insisted-of the world. There was one admirably simple method of conducting these people and justifying ourselves in our erotic revolt: we would deny that the world had any meaning whatever." From Huxley's 1966 article entitled "Confessions of a Professed Atheist". The New world believes in mass production, and lead them to be more materialism as more and more things become affordable to average consumers. Their moral and values were opposed to our morals and values. They build their society around materialism and having the best of everything. In the New World, if you had a shirt that has a hole, you go and buy a new outfit instead of just using a different shirt.
